MEDIA
The Foundation for Regional Development of China-Armenia Relations is building a media ecosystem as a strategic tool for the long-term strengthening of ties between China and Armenia.

At the heart of this work is Vardan Mamikonian.

It has been historically established that the Mamikonian dynasty has Chinese roots and is connected to the Sichuan region (Chengdu). For this reason, the image of Vardan Mamikonian is becoming not merely a cultural symbol, but a bridge and a platform for building sustainable, long-term relations between the two countries in the cultural, economic, tourism, educational, and business spheres.

Vardan Mamikonian represents the point where history and modernity converge. Through this figure, the Foundation is creating a space in which Chinese and Armenian partners can find common ground, develop joint projects, and establish trust for years to come.

The “Media” section reflects the Foundation’s systematic work in content creation and partner engagement. The main media resources and production capacities are planned to be sourced from China. Armenian partners, including TSAYG Television Company, are part of this network and ensure a local presence.

Key Areas of the Media Strategy

1. Production of Teasers
A series of short teasers designed to generate interest in the “Vardan Mamikonian” project as a living bridge between China and Armenia, its historical roots, the tourism route, and opportunities for cooperation with Sichuan.
2. Documentary Film Series
A large-scale documentary series filmed in Armenia and Sichuan (Chengdu). The films will explore the Chinese roots of the Mamikonian dynasty, historical parallels, and contemporary projects. The documentary content will form the basis for promoting Vardan Mamikonian as a platform for long-term relations.
3. Advertising Video Series
Professional advertising videos for the Foundation’s partners and sponsors. The videos will be integrated into documentary projects and digital campaigns, providing Chinese companies with a direct means of establishing a presence in the Armenian and Eurasian markets.
4. Animated Films
Animated projects based on the figure of Vardan Mamikonian. These films will make the historical bridge accessible and relatable to a broad audience, especially the younger generation, and help strengthen the emotional bond between the two peoples.
5. Content for Gaming Consoles and Interactive Platforms
The development of gaming and interactive content related to Vardan Mamikonian. This is a modern way to engage new audiences and expand the platform within the digital space.
6. Feature-Length Blockbuster
The production of a full-length feature film inspired by the story of Vardan Mamikonian. The project is envisioned as an international production. It is intended to establish Vardan as a powerful symbol and platform for friendship, trust, and long-term cooperation between China and Armenia.

Strategic Significance

The Foundation’s media activities address objectives that extend far beyond content production:

• transforming the historical roots of the Mamikonian dynasty into a functioning modern platform;
• strengthening the cultural, economic, and human bridge between China and Armenia;
• creating a long-term content asset that can be developed and monetized;
• providing Chinese partners with practical tools for establishing their presence and promoting their activities;
• fostering sustained interest in Armenia, particularly in Sichuan and Chengdu;
• laying the foundation for long-term cooperation in culture, tourism, business, and the humanitarian sphere.

We do not create one-off projects.

We are building the “Vardan Mamikonian” media platform—a space through which China and Armenia will strengthen their relations for decades to come.

We are moving forward.

We are currently developing production plans, engaging key media partners from China, and opening opportunities for sponsorship.

The Foundation for Regional Development of China-Armenia Relations, together with Tsayg TV, is implementing a large-scale historical and cultural program dedicated to Vardan Mamikonyan — an outstanding historical figure with Chinese roots and ties to Chengdu.

As part of the project, the first issue of the “Vardan Mamikonyan” magazine has already been published in Chinese, and the media platform is being actively developed. This work is aimed at strengthening the historical and cultural ties between the Chinese and Armenian peoples, as well as advancing Armenia-China cooperation in the fields of culture, information, and the economy.

We are pleased to present a video produced as part of the joint work of the Foundation and Tsayg TV.
Dear colleagues, partners, and representatives of interested organizations and institutions,
You have just seen one of the first materials produced for the “Vardan Mamikonyan” media platform.

This platform is not being created as an ordinary cultural project.
Vardan Mamikonyan is a historical figure with Chinese roots, originating from Chengdu. For China, he is not a “foreign hero,” but rather part of its own historical and cultural legacy. This is precisely why the development of projects centered around this figure is of interest to the Chinese side.
The “Vardan Mamikonyan” platform is an instrument for building trust and establishing a long-term Chinese presence in Armenia through culture, media, and economic cooperation.

Today, the platform already has a strong foundation:

• an active working partnership with Armenia’s state news agency Armenpress;
• Armenpress’s direct channels with Xinhua, China Daily, CCTV, and the BRNN network;
• a joint meeting with the management of Xinhua in Beijing, scheduled for November.

The platform encompasses documentary projects, a magazine, various events, as well as initiatives related to tourism and the establishment of trading houses in China and Armenia.

An important aspect of our work is the joint attraction of financing. We invite partners not merely to participate in individual projects, but to work together in developing and attracting the resources necessary for the platform’s growth. This should be a shared effort aimed at creating sustainable mechanisms of support.

The platform is open to those who are prepared to jointly develop projects of mutual interest to both sides and to use the channels already established for the effective promotion of practical initiatives.
